Multi Gem Micromaille Chainmaille Bracelet Hundreds of tiny, tiny rings go into the process of micromaille, truly a labor of love. This dramatic flat mesh style chainmaille bracelet has numerous beautiful tiny gemstone beads of many different colors. The Japanese chainmaille weave is used as a frame to enclose the gemstone beads. This truly a unique bracelet is a must have for your jewelry wardrobe.
Process: Each of my chainmaille pieces is made by hand. When I began making chainmaille I used mostly sterling silver and I enlisted my husband to use my jumpringer system to cut the rings. Now I use many more types of materials and many excellent vendors are available to purchase rings. In each case, two pair of pliers are used, one holds the chain, the other grabs an open jump rings and adds it to the last on the chain and this process continues one link at a time.
Chainmaille Weave: Japanese, a weave using horizontal and vertical rings doubled.
Material: Stainless Steel – A great choice for chainmaille. It’s strong, does not rust or tarnish and has the look of silver.
Rings: These rings are small and lightweight, but the weave is very dense, making it very difficult for rings to pull apart.
Width and Length. Bracelets are 7 1/2 inches long, considered the norm. Length can be adjusted 1/2 inch shorter or longer at no additional cost.
